Dominique and Preet worked with us on Friday morning. They are graduate students from the University of Windsor in the science department. They brought lots of fun, hands-on activities related to the biodiversity work that both grade levels are working on. Check out the photos and ask your child about it!
Have you brought any canned goods or non-perishable items for our "We Scare Hunger" canned food drive? There is only a few days left! The classroom that brings the most will earn an ice cream sundae party! 
As of Monday, 54% of our class had brought in read-a-thon pledge money. Don't forget: for the pot luck incentive, we must have 100% participation. Please be sure to return your pledges by Thursday at the latest. During the event on Thursday afternoon students are encouraged to have ample reading material with them (they may bring appropriate things from home for this event), stuffed animals, pillows, blankets, etc.
