Good News and More Good News

 Congratulations to the following students who were winners in last week's Good News ticket draw:  Ryan, Steven, Josh, Arianna (twice), and Aidan M.  Keep up the great work!


Is your child practising basic math facts nightly?  I began requested this in August on this blog and it has been on our homework board nightly all school year so far.  Both grades are using multiplication in their work, so it is imperative that students know their facts well.  Practise in the car, at the dinner table, while shopping, or anywhere!  Use flash cards, technology, oral call out, roll dice and multiply, or any other method you can think of.  Without this knowledge, students use their working memory to do basic facts, then tend to struggle with the more advance work that they are using them for!



We participated in a bus evacuation drill last week.  Even though each student is not bussed each day, we will have the c\opportunity to travel via bus to field trips.  It is important to always put safety first!
