Diffy! and Labour Dispute

This week we have started each of our math classes with another dice game.  This one is called "Diffy".  The grade 6 students are working on basic subtraction facts, while the grade 7 students are working on adding and subtracting integers.  As always, winners earn Good News tickets.  Ask your child the rules.  Every Friday each student records the rules in their math journal, independently.  This is the first week that they will be for evaluation (they have received feedback for previous games).

I ordered and received a great bundle from Amazon this week.  Check it out!

Again we had more words presented this week.  We have made it to the bottom of the class list and will begin again!  Check the calendar.

1. independent reading and their book talk
2. reader's response when one is due
3. the narratives they are working on (or any other writing piece as this may continue for a while).
There are always instructions on the board for the students to follow too.  Please remind students that the virtue of patience will come in handy in these situations.  Thank you for your support.
