Helpful Information

Technology has become a huge part of our lives.  Many of us would be lost without it.  Children are using it more and more all the time:  some have their own smart phones, ipads, and/or computers.  Some parents may feel that it is important to "keep up with the Jones" and buy the latest gadget for their children out of pressure.  The 2:56 minute video I have provided for you here will caution you about the amount of "screen time" that is wise.  Click here to view the video.

Did you know that our class is working on their first book talk?  These assignments are done completely at school and will earn a reading and oral presentation mark for each student.  They have selected a date between Oct 24 and Nov 17.  Each student has been told that it is expected that they rehearse their book talk using computer software available on our desktop computers in our classroom.  After all of the presentations are complete, I will send the rubrics home for a parent signature.
