This week our class began working on the latest book talk. Students are required to read a non-fiction book of their choice and report on it in a similar fashion as the others were done, except this time they are required to create a story map using the Google App called Mindomo. They will present their web using the laptop and projector when they present. We had time yesterday to learn the app and play with it a little. Everyone seemed to really enjoy this new educational tool.
Along the lines of technology, I came across an advisory for parents from the Sudbury police regarding some online gaming that your child may be involved in, that was just posted this week. Read the information by clicking here. If your child does not use this site, it is also a great conversation starter about online safety.

Today, two evaluations were sent home for a parent signature: Literacy and Math. Please return them ASAP.
