The summative evaluation for our Biodiversity unit is scheduled for Thursday November 19. Today your child will bring home their duo tang and textbook so that they may prepare adequately for this event. Please note that we did not follow our textbook completely because it does not align with the curriculum entirely. The sections that we did use are: page 1-18, 22-26, 32-33 AND there is a very important graphic organizer in their duo tang that is not referenced in the text called "Assessing Human Impact on Biodiversity". They are not responsible for the other sections in the textbook. In addition, the students will be encouraged to use their textbook during the test. Please have the students return their textbook and duo tang to school on Thursday November 19.
Things are really shaping up in our class! On Thursday we worked on a figure sorting activity using Venn diagrams during math class. I can sure tell who has read and learned the handouts as I asked last week! It makes a difference.
