Congratulations All Around!
This week's mad minute winner is someone new! Congratulations NICK!
We have our next math test scheduled for Friday. Please note that we have not followed the text book much, since it does not align with the curriculum. We will not be working on integers since that will happen in grade 7. There is also more to the algebra work than you see in our text. Please follow the anchor charts and the work in your child's books (including the yellow duo tang) rather than the textbook. Thanks!
Congratulations to everyone who submitted last week's blog math question. Only two students did not attempt it. Each person received a Good News ticket for trying and more depending on the quality of the response. The correct response is: $3.10 for two ice cream cones. Here is this week's proportional reasoning question:
In 30 minutes, Bob reads 60 pages of a book. How long should it take him to read 150 pages?
Please make sure that you copy the question, complete all the steps of problem solving, do your work on a lined piece of binder paper, and submit it by Tuesday November 10 at 8:10 AM.
