We have all heard the saying that "A Diamond is a Girl's Best Friend", but this is not true of mathematicians.  As we have been working at identifying polygons and their attributes I have become aware that some students are incorrectly identifying some of them as diamonds.  If you check our geometry resource pages on our website, that term does not appear there.  The correct terms must be used.  Depending on the figure you are considering, the correct term would either be a kite or a rhombus.
