On Wednesday afternoon, Mrs. T. Occhinero-Gebrael (Educational Audiologist with the W.E.C.D.S.B.), will be in our room to do a Hearing Loss Presentation and Simulation with our class. We will learn why some people suffer from hearing loss, how the human ear works, how devices help those with hearing loss, important considerations for those with hearing loss or no hearing at all, how we can prevent hearing loss as a result of loud sounds (such as using ear buds), and how accomodations assist those who are in this category. This all fits into our Health, Religion, and VIP work. Come prepared with your questions and awesome attitude.
