Many New Additions!

Have you looked at the Anchor Chart Library page of this site recently?  Today, eight more literacy anchor charts were added.  Some were created last year (LOL), but the rest have been created during our most recent literacy unit.  Check them out, and continue to use them during your nightly reading at home to practice our new concepts!

We worked through a lengthy math review today.  The focus was converting to and from the various metric units that we have been working with throughout this unit.  We also focused on many word problems which enable us to apply our math knowledge to real life type of situations.  Don't forget to use the steps of problem solving when you work these out.  This should also help us on the test on Wednesday.  Please note that the test is not on all of unit 6.  Lesson one - time zones is actually a social studies expectation, Lesson two-the 24 hour clock is actually grade five math, and the money work is not measurement but number sense and numeration which will be worked on when we do decimals.  When students bring their workbook home on Tuesday evening, please ensure that they make all corrections as they prepare for the test.  Thank you in  advance!

Social studies presentations continued today. It is my hope that we will complete them tomorrow.
