Books Galore!

We are in the middle of our Book Talks.  Book Talks are a way for students to report on a book they have read at school, use the techniques and strategies that they have been taught this year, and work on their oral presentation skills.  This also makes the students accountable for the books that they are reading during independent reading time.  At the same time, other students may get interested in the book being presented and be motivated to read it this year.  We have two weeks left to go until all of them are complete for this round, since we do two per day.
                                             
We visited the book fair on Thursday afternoon and many students purchased books and other items.  If they would like to purchase next week, the book fair will run for a few more days.

Attention all comedians:  We are in need of more jokes for our Joke of the Day page.  Please collect some this week and give them to Mrs. Colautti on Monday.  Thanks!
