Update

As of Wednesday May 10, we have collected 66 packages of oats and $110.00 (which will translate into 55 packages more!).  Great job Guardians!  Keep them coming!  Our class continues to do a great job reading the daily announcements as well.  The last day is May 19 and our goal is 300 packages.  OAT-standing work!

Image result for perpendicular bisector of a triangleThe grade sevens continue to work on their new construction skills.  Many of these (bisectors, perpendicular bisectors, parallel lines, etc.) require many steps.  All of the instructional videos have been posted on our Google Classroom so that they can be viewed from home, used to study for the test, and MEMORIZED.  The steps are for the most part logical, but they must be memorized before the test next week (possibly Friday).  The grade sixes must ensure that their measurements are precise and that all the vertices of the constructed figures are labelled in the correct order.

Image result for help pleaseThere has been a problem that has been happening for quite some time now, and I need to enlist parental support.  First of all, students must unpack their backpack in the morning when the arrive and NOT continue to go back and forth to their locker because they "forgot" supplies there.  Our schedule rarely changes, and it is announced when it does, so everyone should know what to anticipate.  Leaving homework, textbooks, math supplies, etc. in the locker when they are needed in the classroom is annoying and a disruption.  Parents, please reinforce this with your child.  When things are left in the locker, technically they are not prepared for class, and this falls under the "organization" category in the learning skills area of the report card.  Thank you for your help.
