Blog Math and School Supplies

Image result for chromebookCongratulations to the students who completed last week's blog math on time and with precision.  The correct answers are:
-All new technology cost $670.00
-tax on those items is $87.10
-total bill = $757.10
-interest on credit card is $757.10 x 0.285 = $215.77
-new balance on the credit card is $757.10 + $215.77 = $972.87

Here is the next question which is due on May 16:

For example, we use blank and lined binder paper daily, and many students do not have any.  As a result, other students feel obligated to share their supplies.  While I appreciate their generosity, it is the responsibility of each student to supply their own materials and come to class prepared to learn. Try to imagine what happens when I ask students to take out a piece of paper:  some sit and do nothing while others dive at their classmates begging for supplies.  In addition, some compasses are not working well as we try to construct various items in geometry for both grades.  If these items do not hold the correct gap desired by the student the constructions will not be accurate (figures for grade 6, various lines and angles for grade 7).  Please also ensure that your child has the needed pencils, erasers, and colouring items.  Thanks.
