Good News and Even More Good News!

 Congratulations to the following students who won the Good News ticket draw on Friday: Julie, Jason, Brendan, and Alanna .  Keep up the good work!

The provincial testing that is done in grade six is on the horizon.  We will begin on Wednesday May 25 and write for six consecutive mornings.  The first four days will be literacy (which includes reading and writing).  The last two days (May 31 and June 1) will be math.  It is imperative that students have a CALCULATOR and GEOMETRY set with them since all of these tools are allowed to be used on the test.  I will provide all of the other materials necessary.  It is also imperative that no one is late during the course of these six days since we will begin first thing in the morning.  Please also do your best not to miss any of these days because the missed test items must be made up.


I also suggest that students prepare for the testing by getting a good night sleep, eating a healthy breakfast, bringing healthy snacks, and a water bottle to keep on their desk.  I also suggest that they review all of the anchor charts that can be found on our website.  I will start assigning these as nightly reading.
