Literacy!

As we continue to work on understanding the characteristics of biography/autobiography in literacy, we are also polishing our inferring skills by assigning character traits to the famous people we are learning about.  Shown here is our class putting together puzzle piece character trait cards that we use to help determine accurate information and appropriate vocabulary.  After making a decision, we must also support our idea using evidence from the text.  It is also important to distinguish between character traits and emotions.  Emotions change with situations, but character traits are more related to someone's personality and tend to be more consistent between situations.

Ask them about it!
