We have been performing more than one transformation on pentominoes in math lately. The students worked in partners and they had to describe each other's transformations. Please remind the students that they must be very precise with their descriptions. It is no longer acceptable for a grade 6 student to simply say that a transformation was a translation, rotation, or a reflection. They must use the language that can be found on the anchor charts to explicitly describe the transformation that they see and/or used.

Please assist me in reminding the students to use the correct math vocabulary when recording their answers.
Here is our latest set of vocabulary words. Keep them coming!
