Little Picassos

On Thursday and Friday our class began exploring sketching, shading, shadows, and light sources using artist's charcoal, chalk, black paper, and grey paper.  We learned how to use our finger to smear the media on the page to create gradation, in order to produce the illusion of a three dimensional object. Next week, we will begin a task (for evaluation) that will demonstrate our understanding of all of these techniques and vocabulary.
