Blog Math and Lent!

Image result for bathroom tileCongratulations to the students who correctly calculated that the family in last week's question would require 700 tiles for a total cost of $1393.00

Here is the next question that is due on TUESDAY (since five students didn't complete this for yesterday, one actually said that they didn't know it was due on Tuesday and thought it was due on Wednesday. LOL).

Image result for rectangular prismTrey and Matt each have a rectangular prism. The base of Trey’s prism is 4 cm by 7 cm and has a height of 12 cm. The base of Matt’s prism is 6 cm by 10 cm and has a height of 3 cm. Whose rectangular prism will require more material to construct?  Whose prism will hold the most volume?  Justify your thinking.

Today each student pledged their Lenten promise, scripted it on a lavender slip of paper, and they are stored in the container you see here.  Please support them in their quest.

YUM!
Thanks Volunteers!
special thanks is extended to the Parent Council and all the volunteers who came to cook pancakes for the entire school today.  Each student also enjoyed strawberries with them!
