Welcome Back!

I would like to extend a huge welcome back to everyone!
  Welcome to grade 6/7C!
It still is the place to be!

Upon entering our classroom today, the students saw our classroom door which looks like this for now...

On each student's desk they found...

Make sure to ask your child(ren) what was in the bag.  It was part of our first literacy lesson of the year!

Quote of the day:  "If you never make mistakes, you'll never make anything."  What does that mean to you? (hint: Is there some symbolism in that statement?)
Please note that there are some students with severe allergies in our class this year.  Please do not bring/send food with peanuts, tree nuts, and students are NEVER allowed to share food or eat someone else's lunch.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Homework for tonight includes getting your agenda signed by a parent/guardian (there is an important label there), bringing any outstanding school supplies, gathering indoor shoes, packing two boxes of tissue, and retrieving agenda money ($8).  Don't forget to read and practise math facts (see previous post).  Please get into the routine of checking this blog daily, or sign up as a follower so that it automatically goes to your device on a daily basis.  (see the white box on the right side) STAY INFORMED!
