This week we have used this mentor text to help us understand (and review) how to make connections while we read. Making connections will help us understand texts better. Some of use learned a new word: SCHEMA. Ask your child about it. We also used this text to work on answering open response reading questions and to review what a narrative is. As soon as these anchor charts are complete they will appear in the Literacy Anchor Chart Archive page of our website. Check it out! Students should also use these charts and concepts during their nightly reading.
