We Did It!

The LED has been illuminated!
Last week when one lemon did not produce enough electrical current, one student hypothesized that we needed more lemons to produce more electricity.  Yesterday we were able to test that theory and we proved that with five lemons connected in series, we were able to generate 3.88 volts which was enough to illuminate one LED.  We also learned that there is a very specific way that everything has to be connected for it to work and for the voltmeter to register current.  Check out the photos!
The voltmeter show 3.88 volts has been created.

We have started our new unit in math:  probability.  What are the chances?  In this unit we will use our knowledge of fractions and percents to prove various probability concepts.  So far we have participated in one experiment.  By doing this we learned the difference between theoretical probability and experimental probability.
