Blog Math

Image result for proportional reasoning Congratulations to those who submitted correct responses to last week's blog math question.  The correct response was 4.5 grams per serving.

Here is the latest question that is due on Tuesday April 12 at 8:10 AM.  Please copy the question (this is done because the students store their work in their math duo tangs and a solution can be meaningless without a question, especially for studying purposes) on a lined piece of binder paper and complete it using the steps of problem solving.

Image result for classroom clipartSuppose there are 15 girls and 9 boys in a class.  The teacher wants to ensure that he/she selects the genders fairly when accepting oral answers from the class.  If 40 questions are posed during one class period, how many times should girls be selected and how many times should boys be selected to make it fair?  Justify your thinking.
