Literature Circles - Session Two is Now in Session!

On Monday of this week the students were offered the choice of reading one of seven novels for our second session of Literature Circles.  Pictured below is the students during the selection rotation.  Ask them about it!

In the end, four groups were made.  The books selected were:  I Wanna Go Home by Gordon Korman, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis, Number the Stars by Lois Lowry, and This Can't Be Happening at MacDonald Hall by Gordon Korman.  The students have made excellent choices and have already stated how much they are enjoying their selections.  Ask your child which book they are reading.  Meetings will be each Friday for four consecutive Fridays.  Their weekly role (ie their Reader's Response) will be presented by them to their group, and we will finish with a group book talk at the beginning of June.  Please remind them the importance of respecting timelines!
