Interpretive Dance


Since returning from the Christmas holidays, we have been working on converting our knowledge of our movement skills, into dances choreographed to music.  We watched the video of our movement skills presentations, then some videos from the internet that showed our class what the expectations are.  We collaboratively selected a one minute music clip that all will use for this first round.  Based on that, we created success criteria in addition to the original success criteria, as the expectations grow and change.  The students will also use a rubric to guide them.  The students have been working on their groups and will present in the near future.  The students will receive a gym mark and a dance mark for their efforts since we are integrating dance into our gym time.  Ask them about it!
