Catholic Education Week

Today marks the beginning of Catholic Education Week.  This is our change to celebrate that we can learn about and share our faith with each other in our school.  Each day this week we will be participating in an activity that reflects Healthy Mind, Body and Soul.  Today we brainstormed what Catholic Education means to us and the students had the opportunity to share their ideas, graffiti-style.  This is what they came up with.  Ask your child to show you the contribution they made.

We began our second last unit in math today:  perimeter, area, and volume.  They students know that we will be moving quickly from here on in so that we will have the opportunity to work with all aspects of the grade six math curriculum before May 29 when we write the math portion of EQAO for the first time.  Please check out the new anchor chart that we made today.  The last two test dates are also on our classroom calendar.  Check it out!

Many items need to be returned signed by a parent.  Last week our class received a math review and Show What You Know, evaluated.  Today they received their math test and literacy evaluation.  Please have them return all of this ASAP.  Thanks for your help!
