If you have questions or would like more information regarding the provincial assessment that our class will be writing this spring (EQAO), there will be a parent meeting to clarify any questions or concerns that you may have.  I apologize for the short notice, but I just found out about this today!

EQAO Parent Forum in Windsor

Hilton Windsor, 277 Riverside Drive West

The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) would like to invite parents to attend a parent forum in Windsor on Saturday, February 23, 2013, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, with registration and breakfast beginning at 9:15 am.  The parent forum will be held at the Hilton Windsor.

The forum is composed of two sessions.  The first session, "Answering Parents' Top Questions about EQAO Assessments," will be delivered by members of the EQAO School Support and Outreach Team.  This presentation will describe EQAO's province-wide assessment program and will inform parents about the EQAO assessments and how parents can work with the school to support their child's learning.

The second session will feature Summer Mortimer, four-medal winner in swimming at the London Paralympic Games 2012 and co-author of a children's book.  She will share her story and speak about the importance of perseverance and a positive attitude toward achieving one's goals.  Her message promotes lifelong learning and strategies to overcome obstacles.

Lunch will be provided for all parents who attend the forum.
