Today we began solving expressions in math using the Order of Operations (BEDMAS). See the Anchor Chart Library page of this site for the latest anchor chart. Some students caught on right away and others needed more guidance, but in the end all seemed to understand and even enjoy it!
In Literacy we did our first independent Reader's Response today for a formative evaluation. We are sure catching on to making good connections with an inference!
Most students have published and submitted their first piece of writing for evaluation. They have continued to practice their writing by working on genres of their choice in their Writer's Notebook.
