Due to difficulty that many students were having with multiplication, the math test has been changed to Monday October 15 instead of Oct 12 as previously scheduled. I cannot move it any further, however, as that would cram other units into a shorter period of time.
Photos for our class have also been moved to Friday Oct 12. Please make sure to check our classroom calendar page of this website for relevant dates.
Are You Still Collecting Writing Artefacts?
Last month I requested that each student bring in at least one writing artefact that could be taped into their Writer's Notebook and could be a potential writing topic at any time during the year. Please note that this is a continuous request. At any time something can be brought in and attached to the student's book as we are always in need of writing ideas. It does not need to be related to an activity that cost money. A photograph, newspaper clipping, image from the internet, etc. are all "free" items that can become a writing topic. A good writer always keeps their "eyes open" for potential writing topics.
