Designing Flying Devices

We have been learning about the properties of air and the requirements needed for lift, so the students had the opportunity to put their knowledge to the test and design their own flying device.  They were provided with paper, straws, tape, scissors, and paper clips and told to design anything that they thought would fly.  They then had the opportunity to test their creations.  Check out the photos below.
