This week we have been working on a new reading strategy that is not handled well in our Nelson Literacy resource, so we have been using a variety of mentor texts. Shown here you will see the students working collaboratively in groups to answer an open response point of view question. After that we did a bansho strategy and the students had the opportunity to level the work and suggest strategies that would bump the work up to the next level. What a great discussion, and what great answers were produced for a first attempt!
