PSAs on the ipads

Image result for public service announcement examples for kidsDid you know that our class has been working on Public Service Announcements (PSAs) lately?  After studying a wide variety of print, television, and radio PSAs, we developed a list of success criteria.  Our focus was creating a radio PSA.  The students were allowed to work with a partner or individually and their topic had to be electricity conservation in honour of our study in science. After researching data, they set to work to create a script.  After revisions and conferencing with me, they were provided with an ipad.  Using the imovie app, they recorded their work and embedded appropriate and interesting sound effects.  On Monday of this week, they presented their work to the class, and the class also completed a listening task to see if they were participating in active listening.  They were quite interesting and creative!  Two blue rubrics were sent home on Tuesday so that parents can sign them and discuss the work with their child.  Please return them ASAP.

Here is that latest collection of vocabulary words.  Check it out!  Keep them coming!  Make sure to check the calendar as the students are no longer scheduled in alphabetical order.
