Good News!

Congratulations to the first round of Good News ticket winners of the new year:  Isaac, David, Robert, Joey, and Devon !  Keep up the great work.

Has your child been discussing the VIP lessons that we engaged in last week with you?  Our topic was peer pressure:  both positive and negative.  We crafted an anchor chart together and reviewed a variety of scenarios.  Ask them about it!

Math test on Wednesday!  Please note that we have not followed the unit in the textbook completely because it does not align with our grade six curriculum.  I have supplemented the text with work that can be found in your child's white duo tang.  The students will be evaluated on: calculating surface area of all types of rectangular prisms, calculating volume of rectangular prisms, measuring capacity in L and mL, measuring mass in kg and g, converting between the aforementioned metric units, and problem solving related to these skills.
