...and to Summarize...

Did you know that we have been working on writing concise and precise summaries for that last couple of weeks?  I did upload an anchor chart regarding this back when we started this reading strategy.  Many students continue to struggle with expressing their ideas in writing even when they can orally communicate what the main idea of a text is.  When you read with your child at home, this would be a great skill to practise.  They will be evaluated in all eight reading strategies skills next week when they write their last CASI for grade six.
