Contest and VIP

On Friday our whole school will have a photo op in support of our efforts to win the outdoor classroom from  Majesta.  Please wear green or brown because we will be creating a large tree with our bodies for the picture.  Over the weekend our status elevated from seventh place to sixth!  Keep voting daily!  Encourage others to vote and answer the quiz question for an extra vote daily too!

Today Constable Silver spoke to us about legal and illegal drugs.  He helped us understand what a substance is.  There are only three things that you need to put into your body to survive:  air, water, and food.  Everything else is a substance.  Legal substances are those that you can purchase at a store legally, illegal substances you can't.  Ask your child why they wouldn't want to drink shampoo.  Constable Silver used that analogy to help the students understand why they shouldn't put any substances in their bodies.  Stay tuned... more to come!
