Milk Bags and Questioning

Image result for milk bagsDid you know that since Christmas our class had already donated 240 empty milk bags?  Keep them coming!

Did you know that the latest reading strategy that we have been focusing on is questioning?  We have learned that good readers devise questions while reading and that those questions will fall into one of three categories.  Shown here is a sticky-note activity that we did yesterday with a shared reading selection.  Ask your child about it!  The full anchor chart can be viewed on our website on the Literacy Anchor Chart Archive page (click on the link above).  Please encourage them to craft questions while reading at home, and encourage them to work on "E" questions since they are the most challenging to understand (notice that only two students successfully crafted "E"questions).
