Book Fair

The book fair is coming! Start some Christmas shopping, finish it, and/or buy some stocking stuffers! We encourage you to saddle up and head over to the fair to see what we have to offer. It will run from Wednesday November 15-22. It will be open daily from 8:15 AM -3 PM. Extended hours will be from 4-7 PM on Wednesday night because is it parent/teacher interview night. Round up the whole clan because there are contests to participate in and an opportunity for a family to win free books. This is a fund raiser for our school, so we earn a percentage of our sales back in product for our classrooms and school. YEE HAW!

Would you like to support reading in your child's classroom? There is an opportunity for you to purchase an item from a teacher's wish list and donate it to a classroom. This would also make a great Christmas gift. Giddy up over to the display in the Learning PIT and check it out! Hope to see you there!

Update

Image result for angelPlease pray for the repose of the soul of Miss Frances Conway who recently passed away after battling cancer.  After retiring as a teacher from F. J. Brennan High School's religion department, she became a pastoral minister at Corpus Christi Parish.  She had contact mainly with the older students through mass and confirmation preparation.  Cremation has already taken place. Her funeral will be this Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Corpus Christi Church at 11 am.

Talent Show and Good Bye Ms. Blain

On Thursday we had a Canada Day celebration in the gym to showcase some of the many talented students we have.  I videoed the two acts that involved students from our class.  Enjoy!

On Wednesday our school held a tribute assembly to wish Mr. Talbot and Mrs. Blain well because they will no longer be Guardians.  Pictured here is the plaque that our class gave to Mrs. Blain.  Our class decided to rename the original GaGa pit in her honour.

Attention grade seven students and families:  The grade 8 Muskoka Woods trip is scheduled for October 13-16, 2017.  Although we do not know the cost exactly at this time, I can tell you that the cost this year was $445.00 per student.  Don't forget that those of you that have been participating in the advance fund raising events will pay less. You may also need to purchase supplies needed during this trip, in advance of the trip.
